About US
This all started with our love for our very first cat, Milo, a sweet and full-of-personality Ragdoll who quickly became the heart of our home. Like many first-time cat owners, we wanted to do everything right. We knew we wanted to keep Milo as healthy as possible by making sure his diet and everyday essentials were clean, honest, and safe.
We spent hours researching the best ways to care for him: the harmful ingredients in commercial cat foods, the side effects of plastic bowls and deep dishware, the kinds of toys that support a cat’s natural instincts, the toxins that are in many cat litters, and the materials that are safest for long-term use. We quickly learned that every choice counts — from a food bowl to a scratching post.
Cats can’t make those decisions for themselves. They rely on us to choose what’s safe, what’s enriching, and what supports both their physical and emotional well-being. And we take that responsibility seriously. You should too.

Our MIssion
Our mission is simple: to make it easier for cat owners to find products they can feel good about without spending hours second-guessing materials, ingredients, or safety. We created this shop because we know how overwhelming it can be to sort through thousands of options, only to realize most of them aren’t made with your cat’s health or happiness in mind.
We want to take the guesswork out of shopping for your cat. Every item we offer has been chosen with intention. Not just because it looks nice, but because it’s safe, functional, and genuinely improves daily life with your cat. Our goal is to help you feel confident in every choice you make.
Because at the end of the day, they’re not just pets — they’re family. And they deserve better.

At The Honest Cat, our name reflects everything we stand for: clean, honest, well-made essentials that put your cat’s health, happiness, and safety first.
Transparency
We’re upfront about what we offer and what materials are used. While the majority of our toys and accessories are made from wood, cotton, and other natural materials, we do carry a small selection of plastic-based toys. Why? Because through experience and testing, we’ve found certain toys such as spring coils are universally loved by cats and hard to replicate in other materials without sacrificing what makes them engaging. As such, spring coil toys cannot be made from wood or stainless steel because it could possibly injure your cat during play. When plastic is used, we’ll always list it clearly in the product description, so you can make an informed choice.

We believe that wellness is more than just what your cat eats. It’s also about how they eat, how they play, and what they interact with every day. That’s why every product we carry is chosen not just for how it looks, but for how it works. Whether it’s a glass plate designed to reduce whisker fatigue and prevent cat acne, or a classic wand toy with a wooden handle instead of plastic, we focus on items that support your cat’s physical and emotional well-being through thoughtful, functional design.
